ARTIST’S STORY
Deep in the Canadian Rockies, Maligne Lake has always felt like a sanctuary, a place where the world quiets and the mind finally has space to breathe. I first photographed this island more than a decade ago, and every return journey, three hours by kayak, reminded me why it holds such solitude in my heart. Surrounded by towering peaks and turquoise waters, it offered a clarity and calm that reshaped my understanding of what it means to feel connected to nature. Now changed by the pine beetle infestation, this moment preserves the island as it once was, a reminder that beauty is fleeting and worth holding close.
Each image is released in limited editions, with edition size set by presentation and scale, so the most substantial works remain the most rare.
