Panoramic night landscape showing three silhouetted trees in an open field, perfectly aligned beneath a glowing Milky Way arching across a star filled sky in Ro

Arc of the Infinite

Rockhampton, Australia

ARTIST’S STORY

Standing before these three trees in Rockhampton, I felt as though nature had quietly arranged a meeting between earth and sky. What began as an unplanned discovery became a moment of awe as the Milky Way rose and arched perfectly above the canopy, mirroring the graceful curve of the trees below. In that stillness, the symmetry between rooted life and the vast cosmos felt deeply grounding, a reminder that even immense spaces can feel connected. As a psychologist, I am constantly aware of how stress narrows our perspective, and moments like this expand it again, gently and effortlessly. This image invites you to pause, breathe, and remember that beauty, wonder, and meaning exist far beyond the noise of daily life.

Limited Fine Art Edition

Each image is released in limited editions, with edition size set by presentation and scale, so the most substantial works remain the most rare.

The sense of depth and space in this image becomes more immersive when viewed as a large print. I explore this idea further in this article on the psychology of large format landscape photography.
