The Gathering
Moeraki Beach, New Zealand
ARTIST’S STORY
The Moeraki Boulders have been here for sixty million years. They formed on the ancient seafloor, layer by layer, mineral by mineral, growing with a patience that makes the word patience feel inadequate. Eventually the cliffs that held them eroded, and the sea took them back. Now they sit on Moeraki Beach on New Zealand's South Island, half submerged, rounded and textured and utterly indifferent to the centuries passing around them.
I spent several days here in winter, returning each morning and evening as the weather shifted and changed with a restlessness that felt almost personal. This coastline does not hold a single mood for long. The light would soften and then harden. The clouds would build and then dissolve. The sea would quiet and then assert itself again. Each visit revealed something different, a different arrangement of shadow, a different quality of water, a different conversation between sky and stone.
On this particular morning the elements aligned in a way that felt less like weather and more like intention. The waves had settled into a long slow rhythm, the long exposure collapsing their movement into silk around the boulders, and the sky carried that particular winter overcast that flattens the light into something even and honest. The boulders sat in their ancient arrangement, neither clustered nor scattered but spaced with a deliberateness that no geological process adequately explains. They looked, as they always do, as if they had gathered here for a reason.
There is something the mind does in the presence of things this old. It stops its usual accounting. The list of things undone, the weight of things unresolved, the noise of a life lived at modern speed, all of it becomes briefly beside the point. Attention restoration theory tells us that natural environments replenish our depleted cognitive resources, but what the Moeraki Boulders offer goes beyond restoration. They offer perspective. Sixty million years of it.
The Gathering does not ask what brought you here. It simply makes room for you, the way ancient things do, without judgment, without urgency, in the full knowledge that you will not be the last one to stand here and feel, for a moment, the particular relief of being very small in the presence of something very old.
Each image is released in limited editions, with edition size set by presentation and scale, so the most substantial works remain the most rare.

Italian Roma Frame with TRULIFE® Acrylic | Museum Framed

Collector's Choice
Collector Edition of 25 · Lumachrome TruLife Acrylic · Roma Elite Frame
This is the complete expression of the work. The image, the materials, and the frame exist not as separate components assembled for presentation but as a unified object designed to change how a room feels to be in.
The foundation is Lumachrome TruLife® Acrylic, a chromogenic photographic medium that renders color, depth, and tonal range with a fidelity that conventional printing cannot approach. Light interacts with the image surface in a way that gives the work an inner presence, a quality of being illuminated from within.
The handcrafted Italian wood frame by ROMA Moulding is finished with a customizable linen liner selected to complement each image without competing with it. The choice of natural materials is not a finishing detail. It is a continuation of the work's intention.
The liner and frame add approximately fourteen inches to the finished dimensions and should be considered when planning wall placement. Lumachrome TruLife® Acrylic carries a lifetime guarantee against fading and deterioration under normal display conditions.
If your space calls for dimensions beyond those listed, that conversation is always welcome before an order is placed.
Collector Edition of 25 Each image exists as twenty five prints in this presentation, worldwide. When the edition is filled, it closes permanently.
TruLife® Acrylic Fine Art Prints | Gallery Float Mount

Signature Edition
Signature Edition of 50 · Lumachrome TruLife Acrylic · Gallery Float Mount
Some images do not need a frame. They need only a wall and the space to be fully themselves.
The Gallery Float Mount presents the work in its most direct form, face-mounted to Lumachrome TruLife® Acrylic and suspended approximately one inch from the wall. There is no frame to mediate between the image and the room. The clean acrylic edge becomes an architectural element in its own right.
Lumachrome TruLife® renders color, depth, and tonal range with a fidelity that conventional printing cannot approach. Under halogen lighting the work responds with a radiant, glowing quality, as though the landscape itself were the source of the light rather than its subject. The acrylic is UV-resistant, anti-reflective, and scratch-resistant, and carries a lifetime guarantee against fading and deterioration under normal display conditions.
For collectors drawn to the contemporary and the architectural, or for institutional environments where a frameless presence is the right formal choice, this is the presentation that allows the psychological work of the image to operate without interruption.
Free shipping is included within the contiguous United States. Please allow three to four weeks for production and delivery. For international inquiries, please use the contact page.
If none of the sizes listed suit your space precisely, that conversation is always welcome before an order is placed.
Signature Edition of 50 Each image exists as fifty prints in this presentation, worldwide. When the edition is filled, it closes permanently.
