Looking down a historic stairwell, repeating railings and steps form a geometric spiral lit by warm light, evoking quiet reflection.

Quiet Footsteps

New York City

ARTIST’S STORY

Quiet Footsteps captures a moment suspended between movement and stillness, where the geometry of the stairwell invites motion but asks for pause. As I looked down through the repeating lines, I felt time slow, each level echoing the quiet persistence of steps once taken and those yet to come. The absence of people allows the space to breathe, turning a functional structure into a place of reflection rather than destination. In this stillness, the mind finds room to wander, to remember, to anticipate, to simply be. This is where my work lives, in spaces that do not demand attention, but gently hold it, offering a calm refuge within the rhythm of everyday life.
