By Location

Where a photograph was made shapes it before anything else does: the angle of the light, the weight of the air, the scale of the ground underfoot. These images are organized by place, from the Southwest close to home to landscapes on the far side of the world, and each carries the rhythm and atmosphere of where it was made. Some come from places known for years, others from places met for the first time. Let the place choose you as much as you choose it.

Within the United States, the galleries cover Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, California, the Southwest, the Rockies, the East Coast, New York City, and the Southeast. Beyond it, the International galleries include Canada, Iceland, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and Patagonia. Many collectors begin with a place they have stood in themselves, and a work from that place can carry the memory of being there.
